Membership, Enrollment and Tuition

Membership and Enrollment

Membership in the school society is open to those who are members of the Canadian Reformed and United Reformed churches and their sister churches. Membership confers the privilege of voting at the meetings of the school society, and also an opportunity to serve on the Board and committees.

Enrollment at Bellstone Christian School is generally restricted to members of the school society. Non-member enrollment requests may be considered for families who are members of churches that are biblically centered and have adopted the Three Forms of Unity (Belgic Confession, Heidelberg Catechism and Canons of Dort) as their confessional basis.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the school society, have questions about enrollment, or have further questions that aren't answered on the website, please contact our promotion committee.

Commonly Asked Questions About Membership and Tuition Fees

Q. How much does it cost to send additional children?
A. Bellstone’s tuition rates are per family. All tuition paying families pay the same rate regardless of the number of children in school.

Q. How does "pre-tuition" work?
A. The purpose of ‘pre-tuition’ is to help ease young families into the full tuition category and to spread the total cost of their children’s education over more years. Further, it helps to increase the overall revenue for the budget and therefore lowers the rate for the full tuition category. For this reason, before a family sends their first child to grade one at Bellstone they are expected to donate at minimum one year’s tuition to the school (or if moving in from another area, have donated to a ‘sister-school’) in the previous three years. Three years before your oldest child enters grade one you should begin paying the "Preschool" category. The year before your child enters grade one you should be paying either the "Kindergarten" category, or if you are not sending you child to kindergarten, the "Preschool" category.

Q. If I have older children in Bellstone Christian School do I have to pay for kindergarten?
A. The full tuition membership includes kindergarten fees.

Q. Do I have to pay for my child to take the bus?
A. No. Bus services are included with tuition.
